Rain and moving water is a cracked concretes worst nightmare. A crack creates an opening to what should be a dry and compact base on which the rest of the panel is supported by. When water infiltrates a crack and runs beneath a panel, it washes away that panel’s stable base and creates air pockets underneath it. The panel now has unsupported sections which will inevitable crack under continued pressure. The best time to repair a crack is before the rainy season when the crack base is dry and before more water penetrates underneath the concrete.
